We visited the local zoo during our visit to Matt and Cami’s new house. It was HOT!!!
Nina’s pretty smart, she opted to sit in the wagon in the shade, rather than go in the stinky monkey house.
Feeding the ducks is Lily’s favorite part of the zoo, Sophie was sold! But Tess seemed uneasy… she’s like her mom, we don’t trust any animals, wild or domestic.
This is what happens when you tell Tessa to, “Smile big! bigger, bigger, BIGGER!!” oh how I love her!
On to the rides in the park. The men were happy to sit and eat nachos while we took the kids on the 25 cent rides.
Some of them Tess was too small to go on alone so I went along.
Tess had her arms up then ENTIRE 5 min snail pace kiddie ride, she convinced Lily to join in towards the end, thrill seekers.
Is this Sophie’s alien face? Speaking of aliens, Sophie’s top Christmas gift pick is a “piggy-back-ride alien.” I was sure she had made it up… but no, they exist! Google found them for me in a jiffy, they are ridiculous and cheesy, how easy would that be to make! You can’t see it in the picture but they have a JEAN POCKET on the back! Seriously. So. Lame. She’s so easily influenced by TV.
Back at the house… Sophie loves swords and guns, this one came from a Mr. Potato head.
Babies in the grass.
Dan’s mom brought presents for Dan and Jacob and wanted to celebrate their birthdays a bit early while they were in town.
And here’s WAY too many pictures of Jacob eating his first birthday cupcake, which he didn’t seem to like much by the way, weird kid.
He’s pretty much done by now.
I named this last one, cupcake regret…
Thanks for having us guys! We always have so much fun.

Jacob really wanted to love that cupcake. How cute! Tessa's smile is great and her bravery on the kiddie ride.
Happy birthday Jacob! We miss you guys, TERRIBLY!
What a cool park! I wish we had something like that here! Maybe Jacob was trying to keep his new slimmer figure? He sure looks cute covered in chocolate though!
