Sophie's 5 Months Old

Sophie turned 5 months old a few days ago so we took her monthly picture next to her teddy bear. Check out how much she's grown compared to her bear since she was one week old!

1 Week old; small and wrinkly!

1 Month old; small and glazed over!

2 Months old; looking around but not at the camera!

3 Months old; looking at me and smiling! Yea!!

4 Months old; very aware sitting up and smiling at me, so cute!

It's so amazing not just how much she's grown in stature but in intelect as well. I think it is illustrated pretty well in this pictures how much she's changed, from the look on her face to what she's looking at and how she's holding herself. You can just see it in her eyes, so full of light and happiness. Our little sweetie is growing up so fast!

Swimming for the First Time

We went swimming at the Chapman's neighbor's pool last night. We had a lot of fun! It was Sophie's first time in a pool. I got her all ready and she was excited! Doesn't she look cute in her new swimming suit?

At the pool she was mildly interested in the water, she did like kicking her legs to splash in the water but it seemed her favorite part was to look at the trees surrounding the pool!

We did have a lot of fun though we'll have to go back soon so Sophie can learn to love the water as much as I do.

Sophie Giggles

Sophie started giggling for the first time this week, it is really cute. But you don't have to take my word for it... unfortunately Dan and I laughing is louder than Sophie sometimes, but we couldn't help it!

Hope that brightens your day!

Sophie Eats Cereal

I got a new camera lens this week so I had to try it out on Sophie. Don't the pictures look so much clearer than with my old lens?
Anyway, Sophie's getting better at eating cereal as you can see from the pictures sometimes it's good but sometimes it isn't so good.

Seems a little unsure about this...

But in the end she eats a little bit!
